EDC Throttle Controls

Post by Highly Strung » Tue Sep 11, 2007 9:55 pm

Hi all, jus acquired a Targa 33 with EDC replacement throttles. The starboard seems to be working fine but the Port has had nothing but problems. I have re-calibrated them both but i am still having problems with port sticking in gear and my only solution turning the engine off!

Any advice would be gratefully received

Hi Disconnect your shift cable from your acutuator and work it by hand to make shure that your cable is not seizing up, when you re calibrate the levers you should disconect the cable from the drive end and once the calibration is complete turn the ignition on and re connect the cable in the neutral position.

Been so so busy over the last few months trying to sort out the boat, etc...

Turned out to be a broken actuator.

Thanks for your help

Just catching up with some posts.

You're not by any chance on the Thames near Windsor? There's a fair bit of history to "Highly Strung" (all good), if this is the boat I'm thinking of?

I would guess so!

Hi,

She was up at Windsor and as far as we can make out, has been up and down the Thames!

We now keep her at Kingston.

I would love to hear more about her history?!?!

Many Thanks

Scott

Hi Scott,

'Highly Strung belonged to my then bf early 2000's. The name was very apt for the owner! She was moored at Racecourse Marina, Windsor. We both loved that boat! My passion for boating lasted longer than the relationship!   I am now a Yacht Broker based at Windsor!
