Totally new to boating having owned the boat for only a a few weeks I have a small problem which needs correcting now more than later. Has anyone who has a 29 ever experienced stiff throttles. Going from fwd to neutral then reverse it become quite stiff, and could be dangerous particularly when mooring.

What year and engine/drive combo do you have? It may be as simple as taking off the cover over the throttle levers and putting a drop or two of oil after a shot or two of penetrating oil. Usually there are cables off the bottom of the levers going to the linkage on the throttle bodies. They can become stiff if they were unused for a long period. The throttle bodies themselves can become stiff at the throttle plates. A couple of shots of penetrating oil followed up by a drop or two of lubricating oil usually takes care of that kind of stiffness.
