Corniche 33 vs Turbo 36

Postby mainguy » Mon Oct 09, 2017 4:21 pm

Hi folks,

I'm purchasing a Fairline soon, and am choosing between a Corniche 33 and a Turbo 36. Generally would be staying aboard her a fair bit, cruising in the summer months and possible hopping over the channel, just thought you guys might have some thoughts on how the two boats differ and if there's a clear winner?

The Corniche 33 is a great boat but everyone I've spoken to who's owned as Turbo 36 has said that it's a fantastic boat, unbelievable space inside and go anywhere. If you want a boat for extended periods on board, that's the one I'd go for.

They are quite different boats, the main one being size!
T36 has, of course, higher fuel and berthing costs but does offer a fair bit more room.
The T36 is probably "better" as it's more versatile but that does come at a price so may not be better for your situation.
I'd go and have a look around both models and see what you think?

The T36 is seven feet longer and two foot wider, aft cabin vs aft cockpit, two heads vs one, engine options 255-306's, aft cabin makes the feeboard on the T36 a lot higher than the Corniche, which if moored on a pontoon can make access a challenge.
That said T36 everytime :D
