Autopilot Targa 38 failed

Postby targacurt » Sun Sep 03, 2017 10:11 pm

Hi everyone,
I will need some help please. Factory fitted Autopilot Garmin GHC 10 on my Targa 38/2011 does not work correctly. I can activate the autopilot with the also factory fitted Chartplotter GPSmap 5008 and via the autopilot display, but the ship shows no reaction and does´t follow the course. Has anyone an idea? Does anyone know, where the CCU unit is installed on the targa 38?
Thanks,
Kurt

For everyone, who has perhaps the same problem in the future.
I telephoned with the GARMIN support Europe. They told me to make first an update with the NMEA 2000 installed equipments and than to do a new calibration with the autopilot at sea.
Many Greetings Kurt

Hi,
the CCU Unit was loose. After fixing it, software update and new sea trial calibration everything works fine...
