Weekender 21

Postby Doughall » Mon May 18, 2015 11:21 am

Hi

My father bought a Weekender 21 a few months back.
It's been sat fine in the water for about 6 weeks.

He took it out for the first time the other day, and something snapped, and with the bellows being dried out as it had been out of water for a while previously, they shattered and split, and his whole engine compartment flooded. (Police and RNLI rescued)
I think the insurance company are likely to write it off.

I gather that parts for these aren't made anymore. Does anyone have any recommendations are can help at all? He's retired and spent a lot of money on it. Other than it being choked up out of water, it's mint.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

You don't say where the problem is ... but it sounds a bit like outdrive bellows ?

It is very UNLIKELY that you cannot get spares for this.

It is most likely an Enfield or a Volvo Penta and you can get parts for both of these.

post some photos on here and we will soon tell you which.
