Inside canopy

Postby Kitty Carter » Wed Mar 20, 2013 10:53 pm

I have some marks on the inside of the canopy on my Sprint. They have a greenish tint to them. Was wondering if this could be some kind of mold.

Any ideas what it could be, but more importantly how to get it off the inside of the canopy as dont want to use anything too strong.

Many thanks

I presume this is a canvas canopy.
Mould on the inside is very common and is mostly caused by condensation.

I recommend you obtain a good quality canvas cleaner (Starbrite ?) or mould remover and follow product instructions.
You may need to removed the canopy completely and give it a gentle scrub and generous rinsing.
Avoid household detergents as these can leave sticky residues.
DO NOT be tempted to attack it with a pressure washer as this can permanently damage the canvas.
