Can anybody recommend a hand held GPS?

Postby ~Ray~ » Tue Feb 08, 2011 2:32 pm

Hi
I'm thinking of buying a hand held GPS for general use and as a back up for the hard wired GPS in our boat.
Can anybody suggest a good one.

There are so many to choose from I'm getting (more) confused.
Regards
Ray

hand held gps.

Hi

I have a Raymarine C80 fixed system on board but have always had a raymarine rc 400 colour hand held plotter of course waterproof.

I chose this as i can use my charts in both units, also it has the
capabilty to use 12v ships power, or rechargable batteries or standard
AA bateries, and also has a stand that can be mounted or I use velcrose.

Good hunting.

Hi Roger.
Thanks for the info.
Good thinking to match the hand held with the fixed. (I never thought of that :-} )
