Dear fellow members the deal is done and a dream project is starting.
As mentioned to my first welcome post an abandoned targa 28/29 late 1996 model was purchased today !!!
she is been laying at a boatyard for the past 7 years waiting for someone to save her from her slow and painful death.....
The refit project is major with mechanical electrical and cosmetically added new features the list will be long !!!
I will try to be as detailed as possible so we can all enjoy this reincarnation trip.
For a start i will post pictures of her as found at the yard .
For those of you that share a true love and passion for fairline yacths the following pictures contain violent and unpleasant scenes .. :x :x :x :x

Looks like a great project and I'm sure a lot of the damage is superficial. What engines have you got? If you need any help sourcing part, please let me know.

Hi Pete
True most of the damage is indeed superficial......
Just got back today from the Mets trade show in Amsterdam.. and believe me i saw so many new technologies that only made the project list longer :D :D :D .
An interesting conversation was with the very helpful staff of Trend Marine who reassured me that there is enough inventory regarding Fairline yachts in general and specifically the targa. !

And a little teaser for the engines.

Old propulsion system AQ 31P and duoprops will be removed refurbished and up for sale !!!

And here comes the big one
She will be fitted with Slightly used D3 220 evc-d 2012 model engines with electric steering and joystick control How about that . 8) 8) 8)

Hello members
Christmas is here and winter has arrived in Greece .....
just in time that we finished the stripping off all old parts and wiring from the engine room.
As you will see in the pics attached i came across a peculiar issue .
where the hot boiler is resting the square base that was attached to was filled with standing water,
you can see the holes i drilled for it to dry, next i will need to cut it open to investigate.

Any Thoughts or experience on this issue
