Replacement Port and starboard windows

Post by MARTIN1063 » Sat Oct 12, 2013 4:20 pm

Hello all,

Can anyone point myself to where I can buy a pair of replacement side windows for a Weekender 21 ? or a good refurbished set.
Thanks
Martin

It took me weeks to track down the manufacturer who did the windows in the 80s, I needed a section of frame as the old owner removed the window and lost the bit he cut out. It was standing for a longtime unused due to ill health and I bought it. They are welded together, so don't get the local "boat mechanic" to fit it like me and have him bulls up and walk off. Anyway, check Houdini windows, they sell all the sections, seals and everything you will need. Turn around is about 10 days as they treat the aluminum off site once ordered.
As I said, weeks of searching and fairline never replies to questions. The hard part is cleaning out the old sealant, that's the labour intensive bit, so do that bit and best to take them the windows.
