I used to own a T30 and always thought that that the strut looked a little puny (as you'll have found if you've tried to lift the hatch by hand). Unfortunately I have no idea what might be wrong with it! It might be worth exercising care if removing the 'damping' strut as this could be spring loaded...

Albert, I'd be crying too. Even if the company has no legal obligation I would expect to see a little good will on their part. I'm sure someone has made a nice little profit out of the ?24k that you were charged. Surely they could have sold you the parts at cost or provided some free labour. I hope ...

Hi John, Guess you've got a number of options; 1) Sell privately (great if you can do it) 2) Sell via a broker (expect 6 to 8% commission + VAT) 3) Part-ex or trade sale to someone like Essex boatyards. Trade prices seem to be around 75% of retail. Seems like a big hit but when you compare it to a b...

Hi Simon, Wouldn't happen to be the Sunfury on ebay would it! Anyway, here's some answers to your questions......... With twin engines it should be easy enough to handle on the river. Fairlines are excellent boats. It will be very rare that you hear someone criticising one. All boats are a headache ...

Hi Claire,

Welcome to the club and I hope your new boat gives you plenty of enjoyment.

There are 6 other Sunfury owners registered. Can I suggest that you send them a message to see if they can help?

Regards, Pete

Hi Lesley,

Welcome to the club. I'm a big fan of Malta and especially Gozo that I have visited many times.

I assume that you are after a supplier in England. If so I have read good reports of someone called Chris at "Canvasman". His number is 00 44 (0) 1132 635599.

Hope this helps.

I hate to say this but I don't think that the first Fairline was made until 1967. Could you post a picture in the gallery?

Hi Kevin,

The forum receives about 20-30 hits a day (not all me I hasten to add). I like to think that it's quality not quantity!

Please also remember that the site only went live earlier this year.

Hi Barry, Thanks for registering and posting to the site. I used to 'flog' the site a bit more on MBY forum but was asked to stop! The best way to promote the site further would be to advertise in MBY or MBM. To do this I'd have to ask for some kind of voluntary contribution. What does everyone thin...

Hi Ian, Thanks for registering. I tried to set up a boatshare earlier on in the year and have to advise you that it's a pretty 'thin' market. You'll be lucky to get 3 others interested. Other people have also told me that if you have too many members then they might treat it more like a charter rath...

Hi KeithD,
Welcome to the forum. If you click on Memberlist then sort on 'Boat' you'll see that there are two other 30/33 owners registered. Perhaps you could send them a PM?
Good luck,
Pete

From Oundle of all places!!

I'd heard that some of their stock was sticking a little!

Anyway, looks in cracking condition.

Have you had a look at the '19' brochure in the gallery?

Good luck, Pete.
