Re: Corniche trim

Last year I extended a line parallel and about 2" above the waterline forward to the stem, then painted the triangfle up to the trim line where it rises towards the bow in white trilux 33. I think this makes the boat look better. I have tried to past a link to a photo, but my ipad wont play ball.

Re: For sale Turbo 36 Port gearbox

What model or what engine was it coupled to ?

I would assume it is a Twin Disc, is it an MG502 - I can recognise it from a photo.

What is the airflow spring set - a mattress I assume.

Where to collect from ?

Re: Corniche skin fittings

If it were me then I would get rid of the gate valves as soon as possible. The improvements page of my blogsite shows what happened when I tried to dismantle the one from my after heads outlet. Initially it worked OK then seized closed, fortunately I left it alone until the boat was next hauled out....

Re: Corniche trim

Perfectly normal on a Turbo 36 sadly. I expect the Corniche will have a similar bow high ride. Makes spotting pot markers from the lower helm and bit of a challenge.

Re: Fairline 36 turbo

What engines ? Presumably TAMD61A. 1500 hours is less than 75 per annum. My 1986 has TAMD60C and these are highly regarded engines, and i have just clocked up 2000 hours. Not so much the hours as the maintenance and general condition. Mine is currently up for sale and will shortly have had both shaf...

Re: Hello and Corniche

I would suggest you expect fuel consumption on the plane somewhere around 1.5-2 MPG. Is it on outdrives of shafts ? Outdrives are more economical but heavier on maintenance costs. The issue with the Corniche might be the Saloon as the main bed, You would have to get up and put the bed away before yo...

Re: CAN YOU TELL ME WHICH fAIRLINE THIS IS

I can't help directly, but would suggest you ask the same question on the YBW Motor Boat Forum.

Google YBW find the website, then go to Forums then Motor boat forum. Easy to join and list a thread.

Re: Sedan 36 - gears sticking

Sounds like the gear selector index plate but could be dry cables. Holts PTFE sail slide spray lubricant liberally sprayed oved the index devices. Then visit your local motor bike shop for a cable oiler with a spray injected lubricant.

Re: fairline turbo 36 depth gauge

On mine from early 1986 the transducer is just fwd of the engine inlet strainers in the next bilge bay just inside the lift up stairs. Later Turbo's had an access hatch by the fwd helm, so the position may alter I guess.

Re: Fairline Corniche mpg displacement or planing

My Turbo 36 gives me about 1.5MPG at 16 knots with a clean bum, but I reckon this nearly doubles at 8-9 knots.
