Re: Fairline targa 34

If it's for a one off then hiring may make sense.

Are you able to get the fairline shields? We have a targa 47 and would like to replace the shield on the tender garage and the sides, they are flat-ish about 100mm high,
Thanks

Hi Nathan,

The best thing to do is check with Bates Wharf Parts department.

Re: Fairline targa 34

Hi Paul, the problem with used ones is that they're nearly always out of date and servicing them can be quite expensive. I think I'd want to buy new.

Re: Probable new Fairline owner

That's a fair comment. There's plenty of people that are happy cruising in the mid twenties. All depends on how much of a speed freak you are I suppose.

Re: Anyone interested in a Phantom 40 syndicate?

Update 2/10/16 - I have identified a boat to be purchased and have one interested party (as well as myself) so are now looking for a third sharer to enable us to proceed.

If you interested please contact me: admin@fairlineownersclub.com or call Peter on 07934 015494.

Re: Probable new Fairline owner

KingBilly, welcome to the forum. You're quote right, the 310 engines are not the most desirable. You really want a later boat with D6 370hp motors. A generator will set you back the thick end of £10k fitted. If you're in the Med / Portugal you'll need A/C too and also a pasarelle.

Re: Fairline Phantom46 Shower Sump Pump

Paul, just out of curiosity, do you have a wiring diagram? Does that show an inline fuse?

Re: T37 Vinyl decals

Hi Simon,

I wouldn't want to order from anyone but Malcolm. He's normally responsive so I've emailed him to see if I can get a reply.

Re: Teak deck

Wattsons have the original templates and should be able to supply you with a new deck for a reasonable price.

Re: TARGA 30

Pretty likely to be the windscreen seals or failed caulking. Scrape out the old stuff and re-caulk.

Re: New Member

Welcome aboard Dr F. No magic trick to find a boat other than create some alerts on "theyachmarket" and "yachtworld" and asking the dealers in the area that you're intending to base yourself to let you know if a suitable boat becomes available.

Re: targa 37 fuel tank

Hi Ade,

The fuel tank is normally below one of the rear berths. Your prop size should be specified on your builder's certificate.
