Re: anyone updated to nmea 2000 output?

Did mine with the Noland RS11. About £240 including import fees. You also need an NMEA2000 starter kit such as Garmin, about £60

www.noland.com Florida, US based. Good unit but not very good customer service.

Re: FLYBRIDGE COVER

Not sure where you are but 'SO31 bags' in Hamble made one for my Turbo 36 for £600. excellent with a zip access to the helm to allow the cover to remain on if preferred.

Re: Turbo 36 anode locations

On mine a 4kg bar anode above each shaft just forward of the props. Internal connections under the Island bed in the aft cabin, to the sides of the water tank. Make sure the bonding wires are sound with no corrosion.

Mine also have shaft brushes connected to the bonding circuit next to the PSS seals.

Re: Targa 33 / 35 headlining removal / sagging

I resolved this problem by carefully peeling the edges back to remove the vinyl. I then scraped off the old perished foam, before glueing laminate floor foam underlay to the surface and then glueing the vinyl to that. I do have one area that I cannot peel away, and plan to cut around the edge with a...

Re: Turbo 36 anode locations

Engine anodes are found as follows ... Large size in Intercooler - large square assy towards aft end of engine - brass plug to one side holds the anode. You might need to take the top of the intercooler, which will then allow you to gauge the level of contamination /scale build up in the cooler Smal...

Re: Genny Problem

The sensor on mine sits in the seawater cooling jacket. Removing it with the engine on or starting the engine with it out would see quite a shower. Interesting that inking it out allows the engine to run. The wiring diagram for mine suggests it closes the circuit on overheat.

Re: Fairline Phantom 37 1996

The relevant doctrine is the Recreational Craft Directive see here ...

http://www.britishmarine.co.uk/upload_p ... _apr06.pdf

I would contact Fairline to see if they were complying in 1997, it only became mandatory in 1998.

Re: Genny Problem

The wiring for mine is here ... https://www.dropbox.com/s/u7m2hs17q3qb9vm/Mastervolt%20wiring%20diagram.pdf The three switches are near the base common just right of the centre. The two NO are the temp, the NC is the oil pressure, so this goes Open as the pressure rises, the temp stay open below set...

Re: Genny Problem

Try here ... http://www.advanceyacht.co.uk/contacts 01794 523900 However I have just looked at the safety switches on my wiring diagram and these are both NO type for the temp sensors, so i would check for a short through one of the temp sensors, but check also you are building oil pressure. The oil...

Re: Genny Problem

If you measure the resistance across the sensor then you can make an informed choice of how to test it bypassed or disconnected. If the sensor resistance is zero or close to it then linking will do no harm. If it shows a positive resistance then a simple resistor of the same value. If it is open cir...

Re: Genny Problem

I think mine does have the same temp sensors, but they wouldn't warm up that quickly, so possibly a loose connection. The oil pressure shouldn't cause a temp related failure. I would link them out one at a time and see if the problem goes away when one or the other is linked (this assumes they open ...

Re: Genny Problem

Does your genny have a water flow switch - sounds like it isn't making properly on start up - perhaps some debris left part restricting it.

My Mastervolt Whisper doesn't have such a device so can't point you where to look.
