Re: Targa 43 bow cushions etc

You're vanishingly unlikely to find anything secondhand for this. Best option is to speak to Tockfield who I think originally made these for Fairline. Cheapest way overall is to source the foam yourself, then get Tockfield to make the cushion covers, and then source and fit all the mounting hardware...

Talk to Sea-Fire themselves, they are very helpful:

It's worth trying Tockfield as the other ex-OE upholstery supplier.

Re: New owners of a Targa 40 2002

Pete asked me to answer your question about the fridge. The answer is that the curved front is not available - these were made by Fairline and then just bonded to the front of a regular Isotherm fridge.

Try under the floor in the mid cabin, you'll need to pull the carpet up to reveal a hatch, just inside the door to the cabin.

Re: Black water to the sea on Targa 47

The long part of the lever points to the direction of flow. If the lever is in the position in your photo, the black water will flow to the left, which according to your notes would be overboard. You should also be able to follow the pipe to the skin fitting, it won't be far away.
I'd try http://www.cjmarine.co.uk/ who will have made the original upholstery.
That is completely incorrect. The oe supplier of the cockpit upholstery for the T40 was Tockfield, and for the canvas was Flexicovers.

Good going, let us know how you get on. The other upgrade I did to mine was to add the remote control, very handy when you are single-handing. About £300 if I remember correctly, and a really easy installation.

Re: targa 37 sea trial

Sounds good. While you're doing the awlgrip and rubbing strake etc, it's worth checking the state of the rubber seal underneath the rubbing strake (the bit that joins the topside and hull moulds together), this tends to fail with age and it would be worth digging it out and resealing (with Sika) whi...

Re: Targa 40 bow thruster

Yep, the sidepower thruster has two anodes, one each side, although the thruster props are plastic the drive shaft and housing isn't, so you do need anodes. The sidepower part number is 7-1190 and you need two of them. If you haven't already, it's worth looking at swapping the thruster props for the...

Re: Targa 40 swim platform

I extended the platform on my Targa 40, by about 500mm. There are a couple of ways of doing it, and a couple of gotchas to watch out for. I did look into fitting a hi-lo, but there isn't really enough space on the transom for the mechanism, it add too much weight at the stern, and cosmetically it's ...
