Re: Separ KWA 50 - Cleaning

Yellow bowler, There is not too much to clean really in the bowls. I have kwa-90s on the tamd61a engines. There is a ring of bolts and it comes apart easily. Possibly best to do on a bench if unsure. Inside there is the feed tube, centrifuge parts and the valve ball for non returning. Perhaps a chec...

Sedan 36 ZF IRM220A gearbox spares

Hello guys, I have a leak on one of my 1988 ZF gearboxes and have contacted ZF for a spares list. They have come back and said only "some" spares are still available. Does anyone here know of anywhere that could supply spares? I fear ZF are going down the road of....you need a whole new gearbox!! Ma...

Re: 1987 Fairline 40 window seals.

Hi Declan,

Is it the external inserts your are looking to replace? If they are the same as the sedan 36, Trend Marine in the UK might be worth a call, thats where I got mine and they were easy to fit.

Re: Fairline Turbo 36 restoration

Hello again Ross, Yes the delivery journey was from Gosport to Shetland via the Caledonian Canal. The weather was not the best and the boat did better that the two crew! Needless to say, it's been home a year now and the restoration is still well undeway! At the moment, I'm still fixing the broken s...

Re: Fairline Turbo 36 restoration

Hello Ross, Excellent posts, very informative. I am doing the same work on a Sedan 36. The project seems to be never ending. Always seems to be something to do or repair on a boat thats 30 this year! But after a 1000 mile delivery trip from the Solent to the far north of Scotland, it is a great sea ...

Re: Sedan 36 impeller change...the age old question!

Thank you farsco for the information. I'm going to be a real pain now ands ask is it possible to get some pictures? No point re-inventing the wheel if there's no need too. I've had the boat so far for 3 years and access to the front of the engines is the only major negative I can find. Bringing the ...

Re: Fairline Turbo 36 Aluminium Extrusion Rubbing Strake/Tri

I'd be very surprised if Trend Marine could not help you. I have a Sedan 36 and recently got the rubber strake from them, a like for like change out.

Sedan 36 impeller change...the age old question!

Hi guys, Going through my winter jobs list and one which I have avoided for long enough is changing out the raw water impellers. I see varying discussions. Which way is easier, quicker and less likely to cause a barrage of swear words from the engine bay....making hatches or just removing the pumps ...

Re: Fairline sedan 36 propellors.

It's Clements marine I am also dealing with, very helpful. With the use I get from the boat, I'm afraid I will just have to go with the most cost effective option. Just out of interest, as I have not removed the shaft yet, did you replace the shaft log bearings and how much of a pain was it? The bra...

Re: Fairline sedan 36 propellors.

Hello skipper gorm, Many thanks for the reply. Who is the original manufacturer? I would prefer to have a new one manufactured instead of having to buy two new props! I ways in touch with one supplier and I was told that the four blade prop is the better option, probably right but I have no complain...

Hello Farsco,

Did you ever get around to doing the headlining and seeing what's keeping the panels up there! I'll have to do the same with mine in the not too distant future too.
