Re: Help with Corniche cutless bearings!
Whilst you have the shaft out inspect the upper cutlass bearing. Changing it now is a lot easier now the shaft is out. On my Turbo 36 these were half length lower bearings.

Re: Corniche anodes
Use one of the original mounts and drill a new one either fwd or aft to suit.
Engine assuming VP TAMD Oil cooler; Gearbox oil cooler; After cooler
Do not forget to do these as new cooler are way over priced and essential

Colin
A couple of 4kg bar anodes. Measure the precise centres between the bolts 200mm (~8") is very common.
Check the resistance from props and P brackets to the anodes is below 1 ohm.

Re: Turbo 36. patio door replacement
Its not that complicated - a trip to your local window manufacturer and I would think around £300 - 400 would easily cover it.

Re: Unknown Equipment
Looks a lot more complicated than a fluxgate compass for the auto helm system.
It might be a 'rate gyro' - used by the auto helm to assess turning rate.

Re: Turbo 36, removing the patio door
The deck of the flybridge, I think, is a soft patch - removable to allow the engines to be removed. One owner I spoke with overhauled both his engines inside the cabin by raising them on long stud bars. Took him almost a day to get the engine to caring deck height, but still a massive saving on a cr...

Re: Turbo 36, removing the patio door
I replaced the rollers on my door when I had Ocean Belle.
In the door jamb are one or two adjusters - wind this in (or out) allowing the door to drop downward, then when fully down lift the door upward then draw the base outward.
Trend Marine sell the replacement rollers.

Re: Flybridge guages
Hi Colin On my Turbo 36 I installed a Noland engine data to NMEA2000 converter so I could view the gauge data on the FB on my Garmin plotter. These also showed the revs on two parallel bar graphs which made synchronising the engines simpler. The Garmin allowed alarms to be set to suit your requireme...

Update
Offer placed and accepted on a Corvette 32 today. It is a bit of a TLC project which I will illustrate on YBW Mobo forum for anyone interested.

Sad to sell my Turbo 36
Sadly I have decided it is time to move on from ownership of my Turbo 36, Ocean Belle. So tomorrow OB will have new owners, and I wish them all the best with her. I hope you won't mind me visiting occasionally whilst I seek out my next vessel. This is highly likely to be a Corvette or similar trader...

Re: holding tanks fairline tubo36
On My 1985 / 86 (well just still mine !) it is located beneath the galley floor, with a hatch covering a pit with the tank outlet valve and a bilge pump next to it. There are 2 diverter valves - 1 to control the loo either direct overboard (underwater) or to the tank located under the fwd heads sink...
